Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

Monday, January 18

Join with the Montgomery County Volunteer Center to make it a day ON, not a day off. Take part in volunteer projects throughout the community to honor the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Projects include assembling care packages for foster care children, making dog toys for the Humane Society, cutting shoe patterns for children in Uganda, and packaging over 100,000 meals for food banks.

Dance for the Cure

Saturday, March 5 | 1:00 P.M.

Adrenaline Studio in Vienna, VA

Raise awareness and research funds for the Johns Hopkins Ovarian Cancer Center by dancing! Three different classes encompass all age groups, and styles of dance including hip-hop, jazz, and cardio hip-hop.

AFCEA Bethesda’s 2016 A Night for the Children Gala

April 9 | 6:00 P.M. – Midnight

Marriot Wardman Park Hotel, Washington D.C.

Proceeds from this event will go to three separate charities, the House of Ruth, the Hope for Henry Foundation, and The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund, all of which are focused on improving the health, welfare, and education of children and their families.

Treehouse Tour de Cookie 2016

Rockville, MD

Raise awareness of child abuse prevention by biking... and as if biking for a good cause wasn't motivation enough, you will be biking from cookie stand to cookie stand for either 12, 26, or 42 miles! All proceeds will go to The Tree House , an organization and child advocacy center that focuses on the healing of abused or neglected children.
